When did you start Mc’ing and why?
During the summer of 2003 at the Iron Mic Mc battle, I was really in awe by the mc’s on stage, the way they intelligently commanded the crowd inspired me to be an mc
你什么时候开始mc ，是怎么开始的？
是在2003年的夏天吧，当时因为看了第二届IRON MIC全国MC的BATTLE，深深的被震惊到了,台上的mc的感染力和他们的睿智把我彻底吸引了.
Who is your favorite MC?
RAKIM, BIGGIE, JAY-Z, NAS

RAKIM, BIGGIE, JAY-Z, NAS
What has being an MC taught you?
Well, by being an MC it has really, you know, taught me a lot about myself.
你在成为一个mc的过程中学到了什么？
让我知道了我是谁.
How do you feel about China’s hip hop scene?
There is more and more people getting into the scene, whats most important is that a lot of people finally realize what hip hop really is instead of what they see on video clips.
你对中国hip hop的现状有什么感触？
喜欢的人越来越多，最重要现在很多人知道什么是HIPHOP了.
Are you working on any mixtapes or albums?
In 2005 I was signed to Sony BMG and we released an album called Shanghai Rap. I have also been featured on some Yin Tsang mix tapes in Beijing. Right now I am working on the Redstar album with my producer.
你目前在筹备什么mixtapes 或专辑么？
我之前在2005年的时候和我之前的团体DOUBLE POOM在SONYBMG旗下发行了一张主要是以上海方言为主的一张上海RAP合辑，还有和北京隐藏在他们的MIXTAPE上有过客串。现在在弄我自己的团体REDSTAR的ALBUM.
If you had the opportunity to perform a show in any city in the world, which would it be and why?
I hope one day I can perform all over the world, I want to show people what Chinese hip hop is about.
如果你有机会在世界上任何个城市演出， 你希望是哪里？为什么？
最好是全世界所有的城市（哈哈哈哈。。。。）， 我喜欢让更多的人了解中国的HIPHOP.
What was your most memorable experience as an MC?
Well there’s been a lot, but the one that seems to be the most memorable was the “ anti bootlegging ” concert at the Shanghai stadium, there was something like 20 thousand people. The feeling of standing on the stage of an 80,000 people stadium was really memorable.

太多太多了，最让我记忆深刻的就是在2005年的反盗版演唱会，在上海八万人体育场，面对几万
个人的感觉，WOW…..太棒了！！！我站在八万人的舞台上！

What’s the best thing about being an MC?
The best thing about being an MC is that I found out what I wanted to do at the young age of 18!!

When did you start dj’ing？－ 你从什么时候开始学习dj的？
I started dj’ing in 2004.
我2004年开始学DJ.
Who’s your favorite DJ? - 你最喜欢的dj? 有哪些？
There’s a lot of DJ’s I like, but for live performances, I particularly like DJ Shortkut, Dam Funk, and the Cut Chemist, these are all artist that have inspired me.
喜欢的DJ很多 live的话像 DJ Shortkut，Dam Funk ，Cut Chemist 都是我最喜欢的.
What has dj’ing taught you? - 你从dj 的过程中得到什么乐趣?
I got to meet a lot of really cool and interesting people in the past few years from being a DJ.
就从中认识了很多好玩的朋友.
How do you feel about China’s DJ scene? - 你对目前中国的dj现况有什么看法?
Im not really feeling it, currently there isn’t too many people involved in the scene, and the majority that are DJ’s are strictly doing it just to be a club DJ.
不好吧，喜欢玩这个的人本来就少，一些刚起步的DJ基本上都去各大CLUB上班为目的的
Are you working on any mixtapes or music projects? - 你现在有自己个人的mixtape或其他的么？
As of now I don’t have any mixtapes coming out, I’m spending most of my time preparing for this year’s DMC competition.
目前还没有，就在准备DMC的ROUTINE.
If you can DJ any party in any country/city in the world, where would it be and why? - 如果你可以在世界各地的party DJ,你最想去的是哪里？为什么？
To be honest, I’m willing to go anywhere people ask me to go play! haha
如果以后有人叫我的话 哪里我都会去 哈哈！
What was your most memorable DJ experience? - 你记忆最深刻的DJ 经历是哪次？
My most memorable experience has got to be last year when I had the opportunity to compete in the World DMC Championships in London, the days leading up to the event was really really fresh

What’s the best thing about being a DJ? - 你觉得对于一个dj来说最重要的事是什么？
The best thing about being a DJ is that I get to do what I want, I don’t have any outside factors influencing my life and or career

Factory represents at ‘Music China’

A few of the guys from Factory headed down to ‘Music China’ last month to check out what’s billed as Asia’s largest music convention. They ended up making a few contacts with local musicians and learning all kinds of stuff about traditional Chinese instruments. Of course, they found some time to have fun too, so hopefully you’ll get a few laughs out of the video they shot. Enjoy!
